Everything that
has breath praise the Lord. Psalm 150:6.
Our God is the
Almighty God and He is worthy to be praised. David says in Psalm 18:31 that I
will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised. The book of Psalms is
filled with praises of God. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the
end, the king of kings and the Lord of Lords. He is our creator, provider,
redeemer, protector and comforter. He is gracious, merciful, good, compassionate,
all powerful and all-knowing God.
When we offer praises
to God, we glorify Him because Psalm 50:23 says that Whoever offers praise
glorifies me. We are called to praise and worship God. 1 Peter 5:9 says that "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praise of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." It is a great privilege for
us to praise the Almighty God.
We should praise the
Lord continually at all times in our life. David says in Psalm 34:1 that “I will bless
the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth’”. God is
after the praises that comes in the midst of sickness, financial problems and
great trials. Job praised God during his difficult time. Let us
continually praise God at all times.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are
great and greatly to be praised. Let us
praise you and glorify you at all times. Let our life be filled with praises
for you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
