Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt,
that you may know how you ought to answer each one. Colossians 4:6.
To every word we speak, we
are accountable to God. But I say to you that every idle word men may speak,
they will give account of it in the day of judgement - Mathew 12:36. Speak words
that bring healing, peace, deliverance and hope to hopeless people. Our words
should be gracious, uplifting and positive. Our words should always build up
others and it must not hurt others.
As death and life are in the power of tongue,
we must be careful with the words we speak. For out of the abundance of the
heart the mouth speaks- Mathew 12: 34. We usually speak the words that are in our heart. When our hearts are abundantly filled
with grace and mercy of Jesus Christ, we will speak life, joy and hope instead
of unnecessary things.
keep
the tongue from evil and lips from telling lies as God hates a lying tongue. Let
us be always quick to hear and slow to speak. Let us use our tongue to glorify and
praise God. I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be
in my mouth. Psalm 34:1.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Set up a guard to our
mouth and keep watch at the door of our lips. Help us to speak wisely and let our
words encourage others. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Amen.
