I urge, then, first of all, that
petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for
kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in
all godliness and holiness. 1 Timothy 2:1,2.
Our God is the most High God and great king
over all the earth. He reigns over all nations. God wants us to be
intercessors for nations. He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no
intercessor – Isaiah 59:16. Let us pray to God for our leaders to grant them
direction, guidance, discernment and wisdom so that we can lead peaceful and quiet
lives.
Esther fasted and prayed to save
the lives of her people as she understood well that God had a great purpose in
her position. God has placed us in a nation with a great purpose. We have to
pray for all the leaders to receive salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We should pray for all leaders who are in power that they would be always surrounded by Godly
counsel to make wise decisions. Let us also pray for the prosperity, protection and peace
of all nations.
God will hear our prayer for nation and heal
our land when we humble ourselves and seek His face. If my people, who are
called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from
their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin
and will heal their land – 2 Chronicles 7:14. Let us discipline our prayer life
to intercede for our nation and all leaders.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help our leaders to identify the needs of
people with Your divine wisdom and understanding. Make us to pray for our
nation and all the leaders. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
