The All-Knowing God

For God is greater than our hearts, and He knows everything - 1 John 3:20.

Our God is an omniscient God as He knows everything. God knows the secrets of our heart. Would not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart. Psalm 44:21. He had numbered the hairs of our head. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Mathew 10:30. He determines the number of stars and calls them each by name
God knows all our thoughts and deeds. O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether - Psalm 139:1-4.
God’s understanding has no limit. Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite - Psalm 147:5. He even understands all the intent of our thoughts. For the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts - 1 Chronicles 28:9. God knows all about our future. God also knows what is best for us. Let us trust our All-Knowing God who knows all about us.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the All-Knowing God. We submit us into Your hands as You Know all about our future. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Walk By Faith

For we walk by faith, not by sight - 2 Corinthians 5:7.

It is impossible to please God without faith. Faith that is as small as mustard seed can even move mountains. We can walk by faith when we start counting the blessings and not our burdens. Let us look at what God has done for us and give thanks. Our God is faithful to fulfill all the promises in our life.
Abraham walked by faith and not by sight. By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going - Hebrews 11:8. He walked by faith and became the father of nations.
Walking by faith requires hearing the voice of God and following the word of God.  Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God - Romans 10:17. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me - John 10:27. Trust in God’s plan and walk by faith and not by sight.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the author and finisher of faith. Help us to walk by faith and not by sight. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

God Is In Control

In His hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind. Job 12:10.

God is in control of us. Our life is in the hands of God. He knows all about what is going on in our life. He is in control of all our situations. The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying, Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, And as I have purposed, so it shall stand - Isaiah 14:24. He is working all things for good to accomplish His purpose and thought in our life.
God controls the choices of leaders in the world. Proverbs 21:1 says that "A king's heart is a water channel in the Lord's hand: He directs it wherever He chooses." He removes kings and raises up kings. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings.- Daniel 2:21. God controls calamity. He sends his word and melts them; He stirs up his breezes, and the waters flow - Psalm 147:18.
God created all things and He is in control of all things. John 1:3 says that "All things were created through Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created." All our days are ordained by God and all our days are in His control. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be - Psalm 139:16.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the All-Powerful God. There is no need for us to fear about anything as You are in control of everything in our life.

Blind Bartimaeus Received Sight

"Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road. Mark 10:52.

When blind Bartimaeus heard Jesus passing by, he cried out to Jesus calling him son of David. He asked God fo have mercy on him. "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" – Mark 10:47. Though many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, he persistently cried out and shouted to God to have mercy on him.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you - Mathew 7:7. Jesus stopped and told to call him. Bartimaeus throws aside his outer garment and came to Jesus. He believed that Jesus who is the God of miracles could heal him
Jesus asked him what he wants Him to do. He said that he wants to see. Jesus said that his faith had healed him. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed - John 20:29. Immediately he received his sight.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Have mercy on us. Help us to live by faith and not by sight. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Bethel - House of God

And he called the name of that place Bethel; but the name of that city had been Luz previously. Genesis 28:19.

Bethel means House of God. It is the place where God revealed himself and His plans to Jacob. Jacob went out from Beersheba toward Haran. On the way, he took one of the stones and put it at his head to sleep in the night. He slept well and had a dream. In his dream, he saw a ladder which was set up on earth reaching heaven and angels of God ascending and descending on it.
The Lord stood above it and promised him that his descendants will be like the dust of the earth and He will be with him wherever He goes. Jacob awoke from his sleep and said that surely the Lord is in this place. This is none other than house of God and this is the gate of heaven. He took that stone and set it up as pillar. He named that awesome place as Bethel.
This is the first appearance of God to Jacob. It is a turning point in his life and  a remarkable experience for him. Jacob had an amazing time with God at Bethel. God spoke with him when he was in distress and encouraged him with promises. Jacob made a vow commitment to God at Bethel that he will surely give a tenth to God if He provides him and protects him.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to come to Bethel everyday and have fellowship with You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Holiness

For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. 1 Thessalonians 4:7.

God had saved us, chosen us and called us with a holy calling according to His own purpose and grace. Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love - Ephesians 1:4. It is God’s will that we should be set apart for Him and we should be sanctified. It is God’s will that you should be sanctified - 1 Thessalonians 4:3.
We should be holy as our God is holy. But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” - 1 Peter 1:15-16. By living according to the word of God, we can lead a holy life. Let us offer our bodies as living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God which is the true worship.
It is impossible to see our holy God without holiness. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord - Hebrews 12:14. Blessed are pure in heart for they shall see God - Mathew 5:8. When we abide in our holy God, we can lead a holy life.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, There is no one holy like You. We thank You for choosing us to lead a holy life. Help us to live a holy life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Abundant Life

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. John 10:10.

The enemy comes to us like a roaring lion to steal, kill and destroy our joy, peace and hope. But God came to this world to give us an abundant life. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask Him or think. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us - Ephesians 3:20. We can lead an abundant life as long as we stay close to the Lord who is our good shepherd.
When we have abundant life, our life will be full of joy, peace and hope. We can rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory - 1 Peter 1:8. Our hearts will always rejoice and no one can take our joy from God - John 16:22.  God does not give us the peace as the world gives. We can experience God’s peace in everything regardless of the circumstances of our life. God’s promises give us hope.
To live an abundant life, we should keep the commandments of God. So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” - Mathew 19:17. Rivers of living water will from our heart when we believe in God. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water - John 7:38.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for giving us an abundant life. Let our life be always filled with peace, joy and hope. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Be Still

He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10.

God is our refuge and strength. Psalms 23:1-2 says that The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. As our shepherd, God not only provides us and not only makes us to lie down in green pastures but also leads us to still waters where there is peace and rest.
The Israelites stood still and saw the salvation of God in the Red sea when the Egyptians pursed them.  And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” Exodus 14:13,14. The Lord saved Israelites out of the hands of Egyptians.
He is the Lord who fights for us. Let us stand still and see the salvation of God. We will never again see the enemies who fights with us now. God loves us and knows all the details of our life. God knows what we need even before we ask Him. Be still in the presence of God and trust Him. Stand still and consider the wondrous works of God. Job 37:14. Let us calm down and ponder God’s wondrous works in our life.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our refuge and strength. Help us to be still in all our circumstances and see Your salvation. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Is There Anything Too Hard for the Lord?

Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me? – Jeremiah 32:26,27.

God had already promised Abraham that Isaac will be born and he will be the father of many nations. To encourage Sarah, God again promised Abraham that his wife Sarah will have a son. When Sarah heard this, she laughed within herself as both Abraham and Sarah were well advanced in age. And the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’  Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”- Genesis 18:13,14.
All things are possible with God. Now the Lord was gracious to Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah what he had promised. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.  And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him - whom Sarah bore to him - Isaac. Genesis 21:1-3.
Our God is the God of promises and His promises never fail. There is no promise that is too hard for God to fulfill. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us - 2 Corinthians 1:20. Let us trust in God in all our situations. God will fulfill all His promises in our life as nothing is too hard for Him.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the promise keeper. We believe that nothing is too hard for You to help us in all our impossible situations. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Abide In God

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. John 15:4.

God calls us to abide in Him. When we abide in God, His life flows through us and we will bear much fruits. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing - John 15:5. God had planted us on this earth for a great purpose to bear more fruits. Therefore let us abide in God and bear much fruits.
When God’s word abide in us, what we desire and ask God will be done by Him. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you - John 15:7. God delights in answering the prayers of those who abide in the word of God. Let the word of God dwell in us richly to abide in God.
We can abide in the love of God, when we obey His commandments. As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love – John 15:9,10. Keep the commandments of God to abide in God’s love. Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him – John 14:23.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Teach us to abide in You. Let us always abide in You and lead a fruitful life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

God's Grace

Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 2 Peter 1:2.
Our God is gracious and He extends His grace, an unmerited favor towards us in different ways. Our God is full of grace. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. - John 1:14. We are saved by God's grace through faith. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast - Ephesians 2:8,9.
We are justified freely by the grace of God. The God of all grace enables us to persevere in the midst of sufferings and makes us strong. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast - 1 Peter 5:10. God’s grace sustains us through all the circumstances of our life. God's grace and peace will be abundant in our life when we grow in the knowledge of God.
God’s grace is sufficient to strengthen us in our weakness and struggles. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness - 2 Corinthians 12: 9. God makes all grace abound toward us for us to have all sufficiency in all things. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work - 2 Corinthians 9:8. Let us tell our God’s amazing grace to others.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for surrounding us by Your wonderful grace. We live by Your pure grace. Let Your grace and peace be multiplied in our lives. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Our Great God

For You are great and do marvelous deeds; You alone are God - Psalm 86:10.

What a great God we serve. He is great and worthy of praises. Great is the LORD, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, His holy mountain - Psalm 48:1. He is greatly to be praised and His greatness is unsearchable. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable - Psalm 145:3. Our God is greater than all Gods. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods - Psalm. 95:3.
Our God is great in creation. You alone are the Lord; You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and everything on it, the seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You - Nehemiah 9:6. He is very great and clothed with splendor and majesty. Praise the Lord, my soul. Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty - Psalm 104:1.
God does great and marvelous things in our life that are countless. Who does great things, and unsearchable, marvelous things without number - Job 5:9. Greater God lives in us and therefore we can be victorious over everything. He who is in you is greater than He who is in the world - 1 John 4:4. Let us seek our great God for everything whose works are marvelous and great.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are great and greatly to be praised. We thank You for doing great and marvelous things in our life, In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

There Is None Like You

Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; Nor are there any works like Your works. Psalm 86:8.
Our God is sovereign, eternal, omnipresent(The God of infinite place), omnipotent {The God of infinite power) and omniscient( The God of infinite knowledge). God’s majesty, power and greatness exceeds everything in the world. There is no one like the God we serve and His name is above all names. No one is like you, Lord; You are great, and Your name is mighty in power - Jeremiah 10:6.
Our God is the only true and living God. In Isaiah 44:6, God says: "Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: "I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god”. Our God is the only Savior and there is no other gods like our holy God.  In 1 Samuel 2:2, Hannah praised God in prayer as, “There is no one holy like our God. No one is holy like the Lord, for there is none besides You, nor is there any rock like our God”.
No works can be compared with the work of God. God’s works are great and marvelous. There is nothing or no one I am the Lord, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me, that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the Lord, and there is no other - Isaiah 45:5. There is no one to care us and love us like our God.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, There is none like You so majestic, worthy and powerful. We exalt You and magnify Your name.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Take Everything To God In Prayer

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6.
When Paul was under house arrest awaiting trial with a possible outcome of severe torture followed by death sentence, he said not to worry about anything in his letter to the church of Philippe. In our tough times rather than letting ourselves to sink deeper in pain, let us pour out our heart to God. We have a great privilege of asking everything to God in prayer. In every situation, let us thank God for what God He had done in our lives and ask God for what we need.
The peace of God will guard our hearts and minds once we have presented all our requests to the Lord. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:7. Hannah poured out her heart to God in the midst of her anguish and she left in peace. God heard her prayer and gave her a son.
Let our prayer be filled with praises and petitions. Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know - Jeremiah 33:3. Pray about everything as God wants us to talk with Him in every situation. Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved - Psalm 55:22.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for giving us the privilege to ask You everything in prayer. We submit everything to You and let Your peace guard our hearts and minds. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

God is Good

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. Psalm 86:5,6.
Our God is good and He works all things in our life that are good for us. He is always ready to forgive us. When we confess our sins to God, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins. His mercy is abundant for all those who call upon Him. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good - Psalm 34:8. Let us experience God’s goodness and His endless love every day.
When Job was in the midst of sickness, pain and loss, he said that though He slay me yet I will hope in Him. Though Job cannot understand what is happening to him, he knew that God is always good to him. Sometimes we also may not understand what is happening in our life. But we can trust our good God as He has greater plan for us.
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever - Psalm 118:29. Whatever things we are going through right now, let us give thanks to God in midst of it for He is good. Like Job, let us also proclaim that God is good for us all the time. The Lord is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made - Psalm 145:9.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, we thank You for Your goodness in our life. You are good to us all the time and we believe that all things in our life work for good. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Victory at Jericho

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57.

After the Israelites crossed the Jordan River and entered into the land of Canaan, Jericho was the first city that they attacked and conquered. Before they attacked Jericho, God encouraged them by assuring victory as a promise for them. See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor (Joshua 6:2). God also provided them the battle plan to attack Jericho.
God commanded Joshua to tell the Israelites to march around Jericho for six days, one time each day. On the seventh day, they should march around the city seven times and the seven priests should blow the trumpets. People should shout a great shout when they hear sound of the trumpet and then the wall of the city will fall flat. The Israelites followed God’s instructions by faith each day and the wall of Jericho fell down flat. They got victory over Jericho without any battle. They obeyed God with faith and saw the wonders. By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days” (Hebrews 11:30).
God kept His promise to the Israelites and everything happened as God had said. There may be many Jerichos that are obstacles in our life. Just as the children of Israel conquered Jericho, we too can conquer our Jerichos today by faith. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith (1 John 5:4). When we follow God’s instructions and lift up the shout of praise by faith, God will give us the victory. God’s promises in our life will never fail. A horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory is from the LORD - Proverbs 21:31.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Lord who gives us the victory. Let us follow Your instructions and conquer all the Jerichos in our life by faith. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

The Lord Who Strengthens Us

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13.

God strengthens us and helps us whenever we are weak physically, emotionally and spiritually. There is no need for us to live in fear as God is always with us to give us strength. Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10. God has not given us the spirit of fear but of love, power and sound mind. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness - Romans 8:26.
David took hold of God’s strength in all his circumstances. Whenever he was greatly distressed, he found strength in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6). God’s word refreshes our soul and strengthens us. The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul - Psalm 19:7. We can do all things through God who strengthens us. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength - Isaiah 40:29.
God is our refuge and strength. Let us find strength in God who is for us whenever we feel weak and look forward to wonderful things in life. The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace - Psalm 29:11. Let us seek the Lord and His strength. Joy of the Lord is our strength and God’s joy strengthens us. As in the presence of God there is fullness of joy, let us seek His presence continually and receive strength from God.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Lord who strengthens us. Help us to seek Your presence continually and to find strength in You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

For Those Who Love God

Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind". Matthew 22:37.

God has promised great benefits for all those who love God. The first and great commandment for us is to love God with all our heart, mind and soul. God loves us unconditionally and we must show our love to God by doing what He commands. If you love Me you will keep My commandments - John 14:15. Jude 21 says that keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
God protects all those who love Him. The Lord preserves all who love Him - Psalm 145:20. When we love God, all things work together for good in our life.  And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose - Romans 8:28. God prepare great blessings for those who love Him. What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him - 1 Corinthians 2:9.
God shows mercy to those who love God. But showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments - Exodus 20:6. We will receive the crown of life when we love God and remain steadfast under trial. Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to follow Your commandments and love You with all our heart, mind and soul. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Worship the Lord in Spirit & Truth

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth - John 4:24.
Our God is worthy of praises and He inhabits the praises of His people. Worship the Lord with a thanksgiving heart and gratitude for all God had done in our life. God is seeking and longing for true worshipers. True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him - John 4:23. We can express our love and thanks to God from our heart by exalting and magnifying Him in worship. I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart - Psalm 9:1.
We can worship God in spirit and truth when God’s word dwell richly in us and when we are filled with the spirit of God. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord - Colossians 3:16. Worship the Lord with gladness by singing songs and hymns. Be filled with the Spirit. Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord - Ephesians 5:18,19.
Let us worship the Lord in the beauty of His holiness and tremble before Him. Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come into His courts. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth - Psalm 96:8,9. Worshiping God truly involves offering us as sacrifice to God. Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is your true and proper worship - Romans 12:1.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We honor You and praise You for who You are. Help us to worship You in spirit and truth. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

The Blessings of the Righteous

For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield. Psalm 5:12
God blesses the righteous people in several ways. God answers the prayer of righteous people which is powerful and effective. The Lord is far from the wicked but He hears the prayer of the righteous - Proverbs 10:3. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.- James 5:16. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry - Psalm 34:15. He delivers them from all their afflictions. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all - Psalm 34:19.
God will never withhold any good thing for people who walk upright. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly - Psalm 84:11. The generation of righteous are blessed and his descendants will be mighty on earth. The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him - Proverbs 20:7. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed - Psalm 112:2. God protects the righteous and keep them safe. The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe - Proverbs 18:10.
The righteous flourish and their path of life shine brighter like the morning sun. The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.- Psalm 92:2. The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.- Proverbs 4:18. As Noah was a righteous man and blameless in his generation, he found grace in the eyes of the Lord (Genesis 6:8,9). Let us wear the breastplate of righteousness each day to be protected against the attack by devil and lead a righteous life.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Lord who blesses the righteous people. Help us to lead a righteous life and receive the blessings from You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Ebenezer - Thus far God has helped us

Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the Lord has helped us. 1 Samuel 7:12.
In 1 Samuel 7, we see about Israelites defeating the Philistines. Samuel said the Israelites to gather at Mizpah. So, all Israelites gathered at Mizpah and they fasted. When the Philistines heard that people of Israel were gathered at Mizpah, they came against Israel. Israelites were afraid of Philistines and they asked Samuel to cry to the Lord for them. While Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to Israel.
Samuel cried to God for Israel and God answered him. The Lord thundered with a mighty sound against the Philistines and threw them into confusion. God delivered Israelites from the Philistines. Samuel set up a stone between Mizpah and Shen and called its name Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far God has helped us”. The Hebrew word Ebenezer means stone of help.
Our Lord who has helped us so far in so many things, will surely continue to help us in all the situations of our life. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 124:8. I will lift up my eyes to the hills- From whence comes my help?  My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1,2.  Let us always remember how God has helped us so far in the past days and thank Him. Our God Ebenezer, who has helped us so far will lead us to greater glory in the coming days.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our helper. We thank You for being as Ebenezer in our life and helping us so far. Continue to help us every day. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

You are Our Potter

But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand – Isaiah 64:8.
Our God is the potter and we are the clay. We are all the work of God’s hand. By His grace, God transforms us into beautiful vessels that will bring glory and honor to Him. God is molding us and shaping us according to His will to become more like Him. Let us allow God to perform His will in our life so that we can become vessels of glory and honor. God wants to form us into a vessel for honor and useful for the master prepared for every good work - 2 Timothy 2:21.
We are in the hands of God like the clay in potter’s hand and our times are in His hands. Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel - Jeremiah 18:6. God has put treasures in us to carry out His purpose in the world. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us - 2 Corinthians 4:7. We are God’s masterpiece created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Like how the clay cannot determine what the potter is doing, sometimes we also may not understand what God is doing in our life and why He is doing it. God’s ways and thoughts are always higher than our ways and thoughts. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts - Isaiah 55:9. So, let us humble ourselves and submit to God’s will like the clay in the hands of potter.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our potter and we are the clay. We submit ourselves to You as the clay in the hand of potter. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Draw Near to God

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you - James 4:8.
Moses longed for God and His presence. He said to God that he cannot lead the people of Israel unless the presence of God comes with him. He also asked God to show His glory. Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face - Deuteronomy 34:10. God spoke with Moses face to face as a man speaks to his friend. So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend - Exodus 33:11.
The Lord is near to everyone who prays to him, to every faithful person who prays to him - Psalm 145:8. When we draw near to God in prayer, He will be near to us. He will show us great and mighty things which we never know. He will show you things to come - John 16:13. God will carry us close to His heart and will guide us like a shepherd when we are near to Him. He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young - Isaiah 40:11.
With a true heart and full assurance of faith, let us seek God and draw near to Him. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith - Hebrews 10:22. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him - Hebrews 11:6. Seek God and give priority to spend time with Him  every day. When we draw close to God, we can hear His voice clearly and walk according to it. As we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to draw near to You every day. Let us seek You diligently with true heart and full assurance of faith. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Power of the Tongue

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21.
Our words are very powerful than we realize. Speaking negative words will open the door for enemy. The word of God has life and unlimited power. Confessing God’s word and speaking faith filled words with our mouth will bring changes in our life. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says - Mark 11:23.
The words we speak have life and power. God created all things in heaven and earth with words. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast - Psalm 33:9. Let us fill the mouth with life and not death. Tongue can be tree of life - Proverbs 15:4. As there is death and life in the power of tongue, let us pay attention to the words we speak. Teach me, and I will hold my tongue; Cause me to understand wherein I have erred. How forceful are right words - Job 6:24,25.
We are accountable to God for every idle word we speak. Let us encourage one another with the words we speak. Speak pleasant, wise, kind and tenderhearted words that builds others and gives grace to others. Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones - Proverbs 16:24. Let us speak only the words that build others and gives grace to others who hear - Ephesians 4:29. Find opportunities to speak kind and tenderhearted words - Ephesians 4:32.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to speak only the life giving and faith filled words. Set a guard over our mouth and watch over the door of our lips. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
