He says, "Be still, and know
that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the
earth." Psalm 46:10.
God is our refuge and strength. Psalms 23:1-2 says
that The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in
green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. As our shepherd, God not
only provides us and not only makes us to lie down in green pastures but also
leads us to still waters where there is peace and rest.
The Israelites
stood still and saw the salvation of God in the Red sea when the Egyptians
pursed them. And Moses said to the
people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord,
which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today,
you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall
hold your peace.” Exodus 14:13,14. The Lord saved Israelites out of the hands
of Egyptians.
He is the Lord who fights for us. Let us
stand still and see the salvation of God. We will never again see the enemies
who fights with us now. God loves us and knows all the details of our life. God
knows what we need even before we ask Him. Be still in the presence of God and
trust Him. Stand still and consider the wondrous works of God. Job 37:14. Let us
calm down and ponder God’s wondrous works in our life.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our refuge and
strength. Help us to be still in all our circumstances and see Your salvation.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
