The thief comes only to steal and
kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. John
10:10.
The enemy
comes to us like a roaring lion to steal, kill and destroy our joy, peace and
hope. But God came to this world to give us an abundant life. God is able to do
exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask Him or think. Now to Him who is
able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to
the power that works in us - Ephesians 3:20. We can lead an abundant life as long
as we stay close to the Lord who is our good shepherd.
When we have abundant
life, our life will be full of joy, peace and hope. We can rejoice with joy
that is inexpressible and filled with glory - 1 Peter 1:8. Our hearts will always
rejoice and no one can take our joy from God - John 16:22. God does not give us the peace as the world
gives. We can experience God’s peace in everything regardless of the
circumstances of our life. God’s promises give us hope.
To live an
abundant life, we should keep the commandments of God. So He said to him, “Why
do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to
enter into life, keep the commandments.” - Mathew 19:17. Rivers of living water
will from our heart when we believe in God. He who believes in Me, as the
Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water - John
7:38.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for
giving us an abundant life. Let our life be always filled with peace, joy and
hope. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
