“He has told you, O man, what is
good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love
kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8).
Walking in humility is the key to receive
the grace of God. God gives grace to the humble - James 4:6. God wants us to value
others above ourselves in humility. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain
conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves - Philippians 2:3. A
man who fears God must have humility. The fear of the LORD is the instruction
for wisdom, and before honor comes humility - Proverbs 15:33.
God guides the humble in
what is right and teaches His way to them. He guides the humble in what is
right and teaches them his way - Psalm 25:9. Therefore, as the elect of God,
holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness,
longsuffering - Colossians 3:12. When we walk humbly before God, He will exalt
us. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you - James
4:10.
And being found in appearance as a man, He
humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of
the cross - Philippians 2:8. As Jesus humbled himself, God highly exalted Him
and gave Him the name which is above every name. Walking in humility make us to
become more like Jesus.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to walk in humility. In
Jesus name we pray. Amen.
