It is more blessed to give than to
receive - Acts 20:35.
It is more blessed to give
than to receive as it brings more blessings to us. In Luke 6:38 Jesus said, “Give,
and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and
running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you
use, it will be measured back to you.” We will receive good things when we are
generous to others. Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely - Psalm
112:5.
God
loves a cheerful giver. But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap
sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you
should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or
under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver - 2 Corinthians 9:6, 7. A
generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed -
Proverbs 11:25.
We will be blessed abundantly by God when we
consider the poor and needy people. Blessed is he who considers the poor; The
Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him and keep
him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the
will of his enemies. The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You
will sustain him on his sickbed - Psalm 41:1-3.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for
all Your blessings in our life. Let us be more blessed by giving than by
receiving. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
