Let your gentleness be evident to
all. The Lord is near - Philippians 4:5.
Throughout the Book of Psalms,
David says that the Lord is always near to us. You are near, O Lord, and all your
commandments are true - Psalm 119:151. The Lord is near to all who call on him -
Psalm 145:18. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such
as have a contrite spirit - Psalm 34 18.
David beautifully describes how the Lord
is near to us always, no matter where we go. Or where can I flee from Your
presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell,
behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the
uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right
hand shall hold me - Psalm 139:7-10.
The Lord is near to all who call on Him in
truth. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in
truth - Psalm 145:18. As God is always near to us, let us approach His throne
of grace and get the mercy and grace of God. Let us therefore come boldly to
the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of
need - Hebrew 4:16.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for
always being near to us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
