I will give You thanks with all my
heart - Psalm 138:1.
Ten lepers who met Jesus
lifted up their voices and asked mercy for them. And they lifted up their
voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” - Luke 17:13. Jesus told
them to show themselves to the priests. The lepers obeyed God and as they went, they were cleansed. So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves
to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed - Luke 17:14.
One of them who saw that
he was healed returned to give thanks to Jesus. And one of them, when he saw
that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell
down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan - Luke 17:
15.16. Though ten lepers were healed, only one returned to thank Jesus. So Jesus answered and said, “Were
there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who
returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your
faith has made you well” - Luke 17:17-19.
Let us take time to think
about all the things God has done for us. Being filled with gratitude, return to God and thank Him for all
He has done. Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His
deeds among the peoples - Psalm 105:1. Let us not forget the goodness of God in
our life. Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits - Psalm 103:2.
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever - Psalm 136:1.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for
all You have done for us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
