Practice Hospitality

Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it - Hebrews 13:2.

Abraham and Sarah offered generous hospitality to the three men who came to them (Genesis 18:1-15). Without knowing that they were God and two angels, Abraham washed their feet with water, prepared a place for them to take rest and fed them. During that time only, the Lord told Abraham that a son will be born to Sarah within a year. Just as God had promised, Isaac was born to Abraham one year after the visit of the three men.
Rahab received and protected the spies in her home. Then the woman took the two men and hid them - Joshua 2:4. She was spared by Joshua when the city of Jericho was burnt. And Joshua spared Rahab the harlot, her father’s household, and all that she had - Joshua 6:25. We will surely reap in due season when we do good to others. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart - Galatians 6:9.
Hospitality is a gift of God for us to serve Him. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling - 1 Peter 4:9. Let us practice hospitality and help the people who are in need. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality - Romans 12:13. We will be blessed by God when we offer hospitality to one another. Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me - Mathew 25:40.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us show hospitality and do good to others. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
