Those that seek me early shall find
me - Proverbs 8:17.
Those who seek God early will find
Him. Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near - Isaiah
55:6. Jesus used the early morning hours to connect with God. Very early in the
morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to
a solitary place, where he prayed - Mark 1:35. Abraham sought the God early in
the morning. And Abraham went early in the morning to the place where he had
stood before the Lord - Genesis 19:27.
David chose to seek God early in
the morning. O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for
You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land where there is no water -
Psalm 63:1. Let us praise God, meditate the word of God and lay all our
requests to God before the start of the day. To declare Your loving kindness in
the morning, And Your faithfulness every night - Psalm 92:2. I rise before the
dawning of the morning, And cry for help; I hope in Your word - Psalm 119:147. In
the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before
you and wait expectantly - Psalm 5:3.
Early morning is the most peaceful
and quiet time to spend with God. Every day is a gift of God and the mercies of
God are new every morning. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because
His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your
faithfulness - Lamentations 3:22,23. When we seek God early, we will receive the mercies of God and He will show us His ways. Let the morning bring me word of your
unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for
to you I entrust my life - Psalm 143:8. Let us make a commitment to seek God
early in the morning.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Give us the grace
to seek You early in the morning. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
