Pray without ceasing - 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
God has given us a great
privilege to have a constant relationship with Him in prayer. Paul prayed day
and night. I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers
did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day - 2 Timothy
1:3. God's will for us is to pray without ceasing. Let us pray always in the Spirit with the armor of God (Ephesians 6:13-18).
Jesus
prayed without ceasing. Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to
the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God - Luke 6:12. Now
in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and
departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed - Mark 1:35. And when He had
sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray -
Mathew 14:23.
Jesus continued praying in the garden of Gethsemane and
on the cross too. Let us walk with God by interacting with Him continually in prayer.
Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving -
Colossians 4:2. Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The
spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak - Mathew 26:41.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to pray
without ceasing. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
