God's Light Drives Out Darkness

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it - John 1:5.

The Lord is our light. The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? -  Psalm 27:1. He came as a light into the world to give us light. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness - John 12:46. He is the light of the world. Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” - John 8:12.

God has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light - 1 Peter 2:9. He has delivered us from the power of darkness. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love - Colossians 1;13. Light dawns in the darkness for the upright - Psalm 112:4.

God’s light drives out every darkness from our life. Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness, prisoners suffering in iron chains - Psalm 107:10. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And broke their chains in pieces - Psalm 107:13,14. May God’s light shine upon us and guide us into the path of peace. Because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace - Luke 1:78,79.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our light. We thank You for driving out darkness from our life. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
