And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing - John 9:7.
Jesus saw a man who was blind by birth. The disciples asked Him whether he sinned or his parents that he was born blind. Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him” - John 9:3. Jesus also proclaimed Himself as the light of the world. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world - John 9:5.
Jesus anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay He had prepared. When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay - John 9:6. Then Jesus sent the blind man to the pool of Siloam. The blind man obeyed God and went to the pool of Siloam. He washed his eyes and returned seeing. Jesus who is the light of the world gave light to the blind man.
Our Lord is the God of miracles. When others asked the blind man about how he was healed, he told them about how Jesus healed him miraculously. He answered and said, “A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and I received sight” - John 9:11. Like the blind man, let us also tell of what God had done for us to others. Let us trust and obey God as He will open our eyes to reveal His work in our life.
PRAYER: DEAR Lord, You are the God of
miracles. Open our eyes and reveal Your work in us. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
