The Lord Is Our Sun And Shield

 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory - Psalm 84:11.

               The Lord God is a sun who drives away the darkness in our life. Like the sun, He gives us light and directs us in His ways. He is our everlasting light. His light will shine on all the dark areas of our life. As to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts - 2 Peter 1:19.

             Our God is the Sun of Righteousness who heals us. But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; And you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves - Malachi 4:2. He is the father of lights who is the source of all blessings. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning - James 1:7.  

               The Lord God is a shield who protects us. He is a shield against our enemies, fear and all evil. He protects us and keeps us safe. But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head - Psalm 3:3. Nothing can harm us as God is our shield. He will give us His grace and glory in all our situations. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward- Genesis 15:1.                                                           

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our sun and shield. We thank You for making Your light shine on us and protecting us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

What We Need Everyday

 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness - Lamentations 3:22,23.

                    We need God's mercies, His peace, His strength, His guidance, His supply for our needs, His wisdom, His grace and His presence everyday in our life.

God’s Peace

And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:7

God’s Strength

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me - Philippians 4:13. My strength is made perfect in weakness - 2 Corinthians 12:9.

God’s Guidance

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye - Psalm 32:8.

God’s Supply

And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:19.

God’s Wisdom

For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding - Proverbs 2:6.

God’s Grace

My grace is sufficient for you - 2 Corinthians 12:9. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain - 1 Corinthians 15:10.

God’s Presence

My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest - Exodus 33:14.

Naaman's Servant Girl - A Missionary

 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven - Mathew 5:16.

               Naaman who was the commander of the army of the king of Syria, the highest army officer in the land was a leper. A little girl was brought from Israel as captive and she became the servant for Naaman’s wife. She shared her faith boldly with her master’s wife and suggested her master to go to Elisha to be healed. She said to her mistress, “Would that my lord were with the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy” - 2 Kings 5:3. She cared about her master being a missionary in the place where she was brought as a slave.

             Elisha instructed Naaman to go and wash in the river Jordan for his flesh to be restored. Naaman humbled himself and obeyed to Elisha’s instructions. God’s healing came over him and he was healed of leprosy. So he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean - 2 Kings 5:14. The little girl’s faith resulted in the salvation of Naaman. Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel - 2 Kings 5:15.

            We are the light of the world. Let us be a light to the people around us. When we share the gospel with others like the little girl, God will take care of the rest. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase - 1 Corinthians 3:6. Let us be a missionary in the place where we are and be a blessing for others. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have - 1 Peter 3:15.

I Will Give You Rest

 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest - Matthew 11:28.

               We carry so many burdens everyday. Burdens steal the peace and joy in our life. God came to give us an abundant life whereas thief comes to steal, kill and destroy our peace. When we lay all our burdens to the Lord, He will give us rest. God loves us and cares for us. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you - 1 Peter 5:7.

               God is so good to us. Let us remember the great things God had done for us and find rest for our souls. Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you - Psalm 116:7. The Lord is our Shepherd who makes us to lie down in green pastures and leads us beside quite waters. His direction in our lives will give us rest. My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest - Exodus 33:14.

                 God had carried all our burdens on the cross and so let us rejoice as there is no need for us to carry our burdens. Surely, He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows - Isaiah 53:4. Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope - Acts 2:26. Rejoice in the Lord always. again I will say, rejoice! - Philippians 4:4. The Lord your God is giving you rest and is giving you this land - Joshua 1:13.                                             

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for giving us rest from all our burdens. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

He Must Increase I Must Decrease

                                     He must increase, but I must decrease - John 3:30.

             John the Baptist was a man of humility. He was a lamp that burned and gave light (John 5:35). He said that God must increase in his life and he must decrease. He preached boldly about God’s kingdom and repentance. For God to use us mightily, we must decrease. Be clothed with humility, for therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time - 1 Peter 5:5,6.

                Let us learn the humility from our God. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls - Mathew 4:14. Let our attitude be same as the Christ. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross - Philippians 2:5-8.

               Let us allow God to increase in our life by seeking God and His kingdom first. We cannot build the kingdom of God unless we decrease. May we decrease and God increase so that others could see Christ in us. Let us surrender our will to God and follow Him. If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me - Matthew 16:24.                                            

PRAYER: Dear Lord, May we decrease and You increase in our life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Right Thinking

       For as he thinks in his heart, so is he - Proverbs 23:7.

                 Every word that comes out of our mouth and every action of us comes from our thoughts. A good tree produces good fruits. Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit - Mathew 7:17. We will think right things when God’s Word is deep rooted in our heart. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it - Proverbs 4:23. Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You - Psalm 119:11.

                Let us drive away all the negative thoughts by speaking out the Word of God and renew our mind. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God - Romans 12:2. Let us set our mind on things above and not on the world. Fill the mind with true, noble, right, pure, lovely and excellent thoughts. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things - Philippians 4:8.  

                 Let us bring every thought of us into the captivity to the obedience of Christ. Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ - 2 Corinthians 10:5. May we align our thoughts with God’s thoughts as His thoughts are always higher than our thoughts. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts - Isaiah 55:9. The Lord knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile - Psalm 94:11.                                                        

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to fill our mind with right thinking as it leads us to right life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Ask God

 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you - Mathew 7:7.

               God promises us that when we ask anything in His name, He will do it. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it - John 14:14. Let us bring everything to God every day in prayer. You do not have because you do not ask - James 4:2. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full - John 16:24. God will answer us and show us great and mighty things which we never know as we call upon Him. Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know - Jeremiah 33:3.

Ask God in faith & according to His Will

                When we believe, we will receive the things we ask in prayer. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive - Mathew 21:22. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us - 1 John 5:14.

Do things that please God & keep His commandments

                We will receive what we ask from God when we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing to Him. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight - 1 John 3:22.

Abide in God & the Word

                 We will receive what we desire as we abide in God and His Word. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you - John 15:7.

God of All Grace

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you - 1 Peter 5:10.

                 Our Lord is the God of all grace. He is so gracious to us. The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy - Psalm 145:8. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious - Exodus 33:9. His grace is always sufficient for us. My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness - 2 Corinthians 12:9.

               God’s grace is abundant in our life. And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace - John 1:16. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace - Ephesians 1:7. We are saved by His grace. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God - Ephesians 2:8.

                 May the God of all grace make all grace abound toward us. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work - 2 Corinthians 9:8. Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord - 2 Peter1:2.

 This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it - Psalm.118:24.

                 God's mercies are new every morning. Everyday is a gift of God for us. Let us rejoice and be glad for the day that the Lord has made. Let us thank God for the blessing of today.           

Daily Bread

Give us today our daily bread - Mathew 6:11.

Day of Salvation

Today is the day of salvation - 2 Corinthians 6:2.

In Paradise

Today you will be with me in the Paradise - Luke 23:43.

I will bless you

From Today onwards I will bless you - Haggai. 2:19.

Do not harden your heart

Today if you hear his voice, do not harden your heart - Psalm 95:8.

Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness where your fathers tested Me, tried Me And saw My works forty years” - Hebrews 3:7-9.

Jesus is the same

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever - Hebrews 13:8.

Exhort one another

But exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin - Hebrews 3:13.

If the Lord wills

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that” - James 4:13-15.

Effective Fervent Prayer

 The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much - James 5:16.

                  The prayer of a righteous man is very powerful and effective. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles - Psalm 34:17. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers - 1 Peter 3:12. The Lord is far from the wicked, But He hears the prayer of the righteous - Proverbs 15:29.

           Elijah’s prayer had great power as he was a righteous man who prayed earnestly. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit - James 5:17,18. God hears and answers the fervent prayer of a righteous man.

                 Daniel fasted for twenty-one days and prayed to God fervently. The angel of God was sent to Daniel immediately as he began his prayer. Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words” - Daniel 10:12. Let us be righteous and pray fervently to God.

Be Disciplined

 Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined - Titus 1:8.

            Discipline transforms us. Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid - Proverbs 12:1. For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way of life - Proverbs 6:23. We need to discipline our body to lead a healthy life. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified -1 Corinthians 9:27.

                 God disciplines us for a purpose. My son do not despise the Lord's discipline - Proverbs 3:11.Though discipline is painful, later on it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace. God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it - Hebrews 12:10,11. Let us learn to be disciplined by God for our good in all areas of our life.

               Self-discipline gives us the power to display the love and power of God to others. Blessed is the one you discipline, Lord, the one you teach from your law - Psalm 94:12. He who spares his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him promptly - Proverbs 13:24. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live - Hebrews 12:9.                                             

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We submit ourselves to You. Transform us and help us to lead a disciplined life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Wait Patiently For God

                                    Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him - Psalm 37:7.

                Farmers wait patiently for the land to yield its crop. Likewise let us also wait patiently for God to act in our life. Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand - James 5:7,8. By your patience possess your souls - Luke 21:19.  

               Let us trust that God is hearing our prayers and at work as we wait patiently for Him. Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me - Micah 7:7. In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly - Psalm 5:3. I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry - Psalm 40:1. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing - James 1:4.

                Let us wait patiently for God’s perfect timing in our life. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry - Habakkuk 2:3. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise - Hebrews 10:36. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time - Isaiah 60:22.

Counting All Things As Loss

 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ - Philippians 3:8.                 

           Paul was born in Tarsus and educated by Gamaliel, a famous teacher. I am indeed a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, taught according to the strictness of our fathers’ law, and was zealous toward God as you all are today - Acts 22:3. He was circumcised on the eight day and he was of the tribe of Benjamin.

           Paul was a Hebrew of the Hebrews, a Pharisee and a persecutor of the Church. Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ - Philippians 3:5-7. He considered all things that are gain to him as loss for the sake of Christ.

               Paul says that all his accomplishments were rubbish and he counts all things as loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ. Nothing brings us more joy than knowing about Christ. All our fleshly accomplishments are temporary. I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind - Ecclesiastes 1:14. Let us put all our confidence in Christ and not in our achievements.                                                

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us consider everything that are gain to us as loss for Your sake. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

The Priestly Blessing

 The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace - Numbers 6:24-26.

The Lord bless you and keep you

              The Lord blesses us and keeps us. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing - Genesis 12:2. Surely, I will bless you and multiply you - Hebrews 6:14. He is our protector who protects us from all evil. The Lord will keep you from all harm - He will watch over your life - Psalm 121:7.

The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you

              The Lord makes His face shine upon us. Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you - Ephesians 5:14. They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed - Psalm 34:5. His grace is sufficient for us. Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful - Psalm 116:5.

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace

               The Lord will turn His face towards us and shine on us. May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us - Psalm 67:1. The God of peace will fill us with great peace which the world can never give. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:7.                                                       


PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for blessing us and keeping us. Make Your face shine upon us. Be gracious to us. Lift up Your countenance upon us and give us peace. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

El Elyon - The Most High God

 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth” - Genesis 14:22.

                    El means “God” and Elyon means “Most High”. Abraham and his men defeated the armies of the five kings and returned with Lot and all the other people who were taken as captive. When Abraham returned, he was greeted by Melchizedek king of Salem who was also a priest of El Elyon, the God Most High. Melchizedek spoke a word of blessing over Abraham from the Most High God, El Elyon who delivered the victory into Abraham’s hands.

                We belong to the Most High God  El Elyon, who is the possessor of heaven and earth. He will deliver us from all our enemies. He is in control of our life. I will cry out to God Most High, To God who performs all things for me - Psalm 57:2. He protects us and gives us victory. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty - Psalm 91:1.

                  Let us thank and praise our Most High God, El Elyon.  I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High - Psalm 7:17. For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth - Psalm 47:2. That they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth - Psalm 83:18.

                                            

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are El Elyon, the Most High God. You are always with us to deliver us from our enemies and protect us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

God's Word

 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work - 2 Timothy 3:16, 17.

                   God’s Word brings us hope, strength and comfort. It guides us and leads us in the way we should go. Direct my steps by Your word - Psalm 119:133. Let us use the Word of God which is a spiritual weapon to fight against our enemies and lead a victorious life.

Never fail

For no word from God will ever fail - Luke 1:37.

Living & Powerful

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart - Hebrews 4:12.

Lamp & Light

Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path - Psalm 119:105.

Stands Forever

The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever - Isaiah 40:8.

Flawless

Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him - Proverbs 30:5.

Never pass away

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away - Matthew 24:35.

Right & True

For the word of the Lord is right and true; He is faithful in all he does - Psalm 33:4.

Joy

Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart - Psalm 119:111.

Great Peace

Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble - Psalm 119:165.

Gives light & Understanding to the simple

The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple - Psalm 119:130.

Like fire & hammer

Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? - Jeremiah 23:29.

Walk As Children of Light

                                        Walk as children of light - Ephesians 5:8.

                     God had called us from darkness into marvelous light. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light - 1 Peter 2:9. Once we were in darkness but now we are light in the Lord. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord - Ephesians 5:8.

                  As we are the children of light, we are called to bear the fruit of the Spirit that is acceptable and well pleasing to God. Walk as the children of light for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth, finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them - Ephesians 5:9 -11.

                 We will have fellowship with one another if we walk in the light. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin - 1 John 1:7. Let us walk as the children of light exposing the darkness by leading a holy life and enjoying the fellowship with another.

David Grew Stronger And Stronger

 David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker - 2 Samuel 3:1.

                   David was a man after God’s own heart. There was a long war between the house of Saul and house of David. But David grew stronger and stronger because the Lord Almighty was with him. And David became more and more powerful, because the Lord Almighty was with him - 1 Chronicles 11:9. The house of Saul grew weaker and weaker. God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong - 1 Corinthians 1:27.

           David was a man of praises. He praised God and trusted Him in all circumstances. I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth - Psalm 34:1. David became stronger and stronger as God is His strength. The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell - Psalm 27:1,2.

                   A man with clean hands will grow stronger and stronger. And he who has clean hands will be stronger and stronger - Job 17:9. The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day - Proverbs 4:18. We will become stronger and stronger when we are righteous and God who is a mighty warrior is with us. Let the weak say, ‘I am strong’ - Joel 3:10. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might - Ephesians 6:10.

God Will Continue To Deliver Us

 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us - 2 Corinthians 1:10.

God delivered us

                    God had delivered us from the power of darkness, sins, fears, enemies, sickness and evil. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love - Colossians 1:13. I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears - Psalm 34:4.

God delivers us

                     God is with us to deliver us and save us. He is our deliverer. “Then I will make you to this people A fortified wall of bronze; And though they fight against you, they will not prevail over you; For I am with you to save you and deliver you,” declares the Lord - Jeremiah 15:20. For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help - Psalm 72:12.

God will continue to deliver us

                       God who had delivered us and delivering us will continue to deliver us. Let us set our hope on God. He will deliver us when we call upon Him. Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me - Psalm 50:15. I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked, And I will redeem you from the grip of the terrible - Jeremiah 15:21.

You Are Mine

 Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine - Isaiah 43:1.

                   We are the creation of God. All things were created through Him and for Him - Colossians 1:16. We are created by God for His glory. We belong to God and He had called us by name. We are chosen and redeemed by God. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession - 1 Peter 2:9. He had carved us in the palms of His hands and hidden us in the shadow of His hand. See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me - Isaiah 49:16.

                We are God’s special treasure. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine -Exodus 19:5. We are His portion. For the Lord’s portion is His people - Deuteronomy 32:9. We are His crown and royal diadem. You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God - Isaiah 62:3.

            We are the children of God. Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God - 1 John 3:1. We are precious in the sight of God, honored and loved by Him. Since you were precious in My sight, you have been honored, And I have loved you - Isaiah 43:4. We are held in the hands of God. Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10.

Faith In The Power of God

 Your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God - 1 Corinthians 2:5.

                     The wisdom of men is foolishness before God. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God - 1 Corinthians 3:19. Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? - 1 Corinthians 1:20. Let us not depend on the wisdom of men but in the power of God. Our God is all powerful and His power is unlimited. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite - Psalm 147:5.

                 Faith in the power of God was demonstrated by a woman in the Bible who suffered for twelve long years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse - Mark 5:26. She spoke the word of faith to herself. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well”- Mark 5:28. She touched Jesus’ hem of the garment with faith in the power of God and got healed.

                   Peter says that we are protected by God’s power through faith (1 Peter 1:5). Let us rest on God's power by speaking His Word in faith to the things in our lives that needs to be changed. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God - 2 Corinthians 3:5. Let our faith be on God’s power and not in the wisdom of men. With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible - Mark 10:27.

Unchanging God

 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever – Hebrews 13:8.

          We live in a changing world. In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. But you remain the same, and your years will never end - Psalm 102:25:27. Everything in the world will change but our everlasting God will never change. For I am the Lord, I do not change - Malachi 3:6. Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God - Psalm 90:2.

             God’s purposes in our life never change. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations - Psalm 33:11. The Lord Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will happen” - Isaiah 14:24. People will change their words and mind but the promises of God never fail. God is not a man that He should lie - Numbers 23:19. Heaven and earth will pass away but My words will by no means pass away - Mathew 24:35.

               God’s love and mercies towards us never fail. His love endures forever - Psalm 136:26. Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail - Lamentations 3:22. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows - James 1:17.

God's Protection

 But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one - 2 Thessalonians 3:3.

Apple of His eye

He kept him as the apple of His eye - Deuteronomy 32:8. Keep me as the apple of You eye - Psalm 17:8.

Shadow of His hand

In the shadow of His hand He has hidden me - Isaiah 49:2.

Strong tower

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe - Proverbs 18:10.

Shade

The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand - Psalm 121:5.

Rock, Strength, Fortress and Shield

I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold -Psalm 18:1,2.

Pillar of cloud & pillar of fire

And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night - Exodus 13:21.

Like birds hovering overhead

Like birds hovering overhead, the Lord Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will ‘pass over’ it and will rescue it - Isaiah 31:5.

Stronghold

The LORD is good, a stronghold in a day of trouble; he protects those who take refuge in him - Nahum 1:7.

Shadow of the Almighty

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty - Psalm 91:1.

Angel of the Lord

The angel of the lord encamps around the righteous - Psalm 34:7.

Refuge & strength

God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble - Psalm 46:1.

Hiding place

You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word - Psalm 119:114.

Under His wings

He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge - Psalm 91:4. Hide me under the shadow of Your wings - Psalm 17:8.

Wall of fire

For I,’ says the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst’ - Zechariah 2:5.

Mountains

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever - Psalm 125:2.
