Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. - Isaiah 60:3.
Our light comes from the light of
God. In Your light we see light - Psalm 36:9. For You will light my lamp; The
Lord my God will enlighten my darkness - Psalm 18:28. Darkness may cover the
earth but the glory of the Lord will be seen over us and His light will shine
through us. The more we stay close to the Lord and more we expose our lives to
His light, the brighter we shine. They looked to Him and were radiant, and
their faces were not ashamed - Psalm 34:5.
We are the light of the Lord. Our
light will never be hidden and God will use us at right time to be a blessing
for many people for His glory. You are
the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do
they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives
light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that
they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven - Mathew 5:14-16.
God has set us as a shining light to the gentiles to bring salvation. I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth - Acts 13:47. Nations will come to our light and the glory of the Lord will be revealed through us. The children of your oppressors will come bowing before you; all who despise you will bow down at your feet and will call you the City of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel - Isaiah 60:14. The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, And all flesh shall see it together; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken - Isaiah 40:5.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, May we be a shining light to the peoples of the earth and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name we pray.
