Inquiring of The Lord

One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple - Psalm 27:4.

David always inquired the Lord and waited for Him to answer to know His will. So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?” And the Lord said to David, “Go up, for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into your hand” - 2 Samuel 5:19. He was a man after God’s own heart as he always inquired the Lord to know and do His will. I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will - Acts 13:22.

Rebekah went to inquire the Lord about the children in her womb. But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If all is well, why am I like this?” So she went to inquire of the Lord.  And the Lord said to her: “Two nations are in your womb, Two peoples shall be separated from your body; One people shall be stronger than the other, And the older shall serve the younger” - Genesis 25:22,23.

Inquiring of the Lord enables us to identify God's will and plan for our lives. Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left - Isaiah 30:21. God will guide us, instruct us and teach us His will when we inquire Him. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye - Psalm 32:8.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us always inquire You about our life and understand Your will. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
