The Leper Who Thanked Jesus

One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him and he was a Samaritan. Luke 17:15-16.

Ten men who had leprosy called Jesus with a loud voice to have mercy on them. Jesus told them to go and show themselves to the priests. Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.  And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed - Luke 17:12-14. The ten lepers obeyed Jesus and as they went, they were cleansed.

One of the lepers when he saw that he was healed, returned and thanked God. So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well” - Luke 17:17-19.

Let us not forget to thank God for all He had done in our life. I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds - Psalm 9:1. I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever - Psalm 86:12. I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify Him with thanksgiving - Psalm 69:30.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for all Your blessings and goodness in our life with a grateful heart. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
