When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child - Luke 2:17.
The angel of the Lord first announced the shepherds about the birth of Christ. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord - Luke 2:9-11.
The shepherds went to see Jesus as soon as they heard about the birth of Christ. When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger - Luke 2:15,16.
The shepherds shared the good news about the birth of Jesus and all who heard were amazed. All who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them - Luke 2:18. They returned praising and glorifying God. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them - Luke 2:20. Let us also share the good news about christ to all people and glorify God. Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation - Mark 16:15.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us go into all the world and share he good news to all. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
