And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us - John 1:14.
God who created everything through His Word was the Word. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God - John 1:1. The love of God for us is so great that He sent His only son into the world to be manifested in flesh. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. For You have magnified Your word above all Your name - Psalm 138:2. God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons - Philippians 4:4.
God who is the word became flesh and dwelt among us with humility in the appearance of man to redeem us. Being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross - Philippians 2:6-8.
Let us thank God who became flesh for us to live with Him now and forever. God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory - 1 Timothy 3:16. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth - John 1:14.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for becoming flesh and dwelling among us for us to have life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
