Thanks Be To God For His Indescribable Gift

Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! - 2 Corinthians 9:15.

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life - John 3:16.

But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship - Galatians 4:4-5.

But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High” - Luke 1: 30-32.

And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God." ~ Luke 1:35.

This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit - Matthew 1:18.

But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit” - Matthew 1:20.

Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel - Isaiah 7:14.

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins - Matthew 1:21.

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord - Luke 2:10,11.

This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger - Luke 2:12.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men - Luke 2:14.

When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy - Matthew 2:9,10.

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them - Luke 2:6-7.

So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them - Luke 2:16-18.

And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them - Luke 2:20

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6.

For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost - Luke 19:10.

I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness - John 12:46.

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth - John 1: 14.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for loving us and giving us Your one and only son to save us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
