For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6.
The name of our Lord is Counselor. He is wonderful in counsel. This also comes from the Lord of hosts, Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance - Isaiah 28:29. There are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the Lord’s counsel - that will stand - Proverbs 19:21. His counsel stands forever. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations - Psalm 33:11.
God instructs us and teaches us the way we should go. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you - Psalm 32:8. Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left - Isaiah 30:21.
God’s Word directs our steps. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path - Psalm 119:105. Direct my steps by Your word - Psalm 119:133. The Spirit of God counsels us and teaches us all things. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things - John 14:26. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths - Proverbs 3:6.
Let us thank God our Counselor who counsels us and guides us. I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel - Psalm 16:7. Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth - Isaiah 25:1. The Lord will guide you continually - Isaiah 58:11.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our Counselor. We thank You for Your counsels in our life that stands forever. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
