It Is Well

And she answered, “It is well.”  - 2 Kings 4:26.

The Shunammite woman answered Elisha with faith that "It is well" although her son was lying dead at home and her heart was troubled. And so she departed, and went to the man of God at Mount Carmel. So it was, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to his servant Gehazi, “Look, the Shunammite woman! Please run now to meet her, and say to her, ‘Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?’ ” And she answered, “It is well.”  - 2 Kings 4:25,26. God restored her son back to life. Then the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes - 2 Kings 4:35.

We will have whatever we say when we speak to our problems with faith like the Shunammite woman. So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says - Mark 11:22,23.  Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit - Proverbs 18:21.

Let us say with faith that "It is well" irrespective of what we are going through now and rise up above our circumstances. Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me - Micah 7:8. Why, my soul, are you downcast?  Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God - Psalm 42:5. Weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning - Psalm 30:5. Walk by faith and not by sight - Hebrews 10:35.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to say with faith that "It is well" in the difficult situation that we are going through right now.  In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
