The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it - Proverbs 10:22.
The blessing of the Lord makes one rich and He adds no sorrow with it. The way we become rich by the blessing of the Lord will be so different compared to becoming rich by other sources. For the Lord your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you - Deuteronomy 15:6. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them - Deuteronomy 28:13.
Joseph did not enjoy any of the riches of his father as he was sold as slave by his brothers and brought to Egypt when he was seventeen years old. His brothers enjoyed the riches of their father. But the blessing of the Lord made Joseph very rich. He was exalted as in charge of the whole land of Egypt by God and he saved the lives of his brothers and provided their family. So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt” - Genesis 41:41. But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones. And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them - Genesis 50:20,21.
May the blessing of the Lord make us rich. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you - Genesis 12: 2,3. He made him ride in the heights of the earth, that he might eat the produce of the fields; He made him draw honey from the rock, and oil from the flinty rock - Deuteronomy 32:13. The LORD remembers us and will bless us: He will bless the house of Israel - Psalm 115:12.
The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace - Numbers 6:24-26.
