Do Not Worry About Your Life

Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear - Luke 12:22.          

           There is no use of worrying as it does not change anything in our life. Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? - Luke 12:25, 26. Our Heavenly Father knows well what we need even before we ask Him and so there is no need to worry about anything. Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him - Matthew 6:8.

More Valuable

             We are more valuable to God and so He will take care of all our needs. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! - Luke 12:23, 24. 

Faith

           Lack of faith causes us to worry. Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith? - Luke 12:27,28. 

Prayer

             We need to overcome worry by prayer. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:6,7. Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you - 1 Peter 5:7.  

Seek God First

           We will never worry when we seek the kingdom of God first. And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you - Luke 12:29-31. 

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth - Colossians 3:2.

Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you - 1 John 2:15-17. 

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us not worry about our life as You are there to take care of all our needs. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
