Jonah's Voice of thanksgiving

But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord - Jonah 2:9.

Jonah prayed to God

Jonah cried out to the Lord from the belly of fish. Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the fish’s belly - Jonah 2:1. When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord; And my prayer went up to You, Into Your holy temple - Jonah 2:7. In my distress I cried to the Lord, And He heard me - Psalm 120:1.

Jonah's Voice of thanksgiving

Jonah offered voice of thanksgiving to God and he trusted God's power and said that salvation comes from the Lord. But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the Lord’ - Jonah 2:9. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you - 1 Thessalonians 5:18. Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me - Psalm 50:14,15.

God answered the prayer of Jonah

God answered the prayer of Jonah and commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land. The Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land - Jonah 2:10. God hears us and delivers us as we call upon Him in distress and praise Him. In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry came before Him, even to His ears - Psalm 18:6. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress - Psalm 107:6.  No matter what is happening in our life, let us thank and trust God like Jonah for deliverance.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us offer the sacrifice with voice of thanksgiving and trust You and call upon You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
