Today In The Town of David A Savior Has Been Born To You

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great            joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is                                             the Messiah, the Lord" - Luke 2:10,11.                

She will bring forth a Son

         And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” - Matthew 1:21,23. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David - Luke 1:32.

She brought forth her firstborn Son

            And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn - Luke 2:7. And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger - Luke 2:16. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law - Galatians 4:4. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth - John 1:14. 

God loved us and sent His Son to save us

              Let us praise God our Savior who came to the world to save us and thank God for His love for us. For the son of man came to seek and to save the lost - Luke 19:10. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life - John 3:16. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins - 1 John 4:9,10.  

Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men! - Luke 2:14.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank and praise You for Your love for us. We thank You for coming to the world to save us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
