Be completely humble and gentle - Ephesians 4:2.
Put away all pride from yourselves - 1 Peter 5:6.
1. Salvation
God promises to save those who are humble.
You save the humble - Psalm 18:27.
He adorns the humble with salvation - Psalm 149:4.
2. God guides and teaches
God will guide us in right way and teaches us His way as we are humble.
He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way - Psalm 25:9.
3. Grace
We will receive grace as we are humble.
He mocks proud mockers, but gives grace to the humble. -Proverbs 3:34
God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. -James 4:6.
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble - 1 Peter 5:5.
4. Wisdom
God will grant us wisdom as we are humble.
With the humble is wisdom - Proverbs 11:2.
5. Honor
With humility there is honor and true honor starts with God alone.
The fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor. -Proverbs 15:33
Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor. -Proverbs 18:12
6. Greatest in Heaven
There is none more humble than a child and as we humble like a child we are the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven - Matthew 18:4.
7. God hears & sustains
God hears the cry and desire of the humble.
He does not forget the cry of the humble - Psalm 9:12.
Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble - Psalm 10:17.
The LORD sustains the humble - Psalm 147:6.
7. Lifted Up
When we humble ourselves before the Lord, He promises that He will lift us up in His timing.
Humble yourselves, therefore under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time -1 Peter 5:6.
Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will lift you up -James 4:10
8. Victory
We will be crowned with victory as we are humble.
He crowns the humble with victory - Psalm 149:4.
Pride
When pride comes, then comes disgrace - Proverbs 11:2.
Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate - Proverbs 8:13.
Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord - Proverbs 16:5.
Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall - Proverbs 16:18.
A man’s pride will bring him low - Proverbs 29:23.
And it says, “Those who walk in pride He is able to put down” - Daniel 4:37.
Pride goes before destruction - Proverbs 16:18.
And whoever exalts himself will be humbled - Matthew 23:12.
When pride comes, then comes shame - Proverbs 11:2.
Where there is strife, there is pride - Proverbs 13:10.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us be completely humble and put away all pride from ourselves. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
