Wise Speaking

                                     The tongue of the wise promotes health - Proverbs 12:18.

              Wise speaking brings healing. Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones - Proverbs 16:24. In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise - Proverbs 10:19. He who has knowledge spares his words - Proverbs 17:27. The tongue of the righteous is choice silver - Proverbs 10:20.

           The more our heart is right, the more our words also will be wise. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks - Matthew 12:34. Let us choose our words wisely and carefully. The heart of the wise teaches his mouth and adds learning to his lips- Proverbs 16:23. The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom - Proverbs 10:31.

             Let us watch our tongue and speak words that would uplift and bless others. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen - Ephesians 4:29. Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips - Psalm 141:3.

                                                 

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us speak wisely to others. Help us to watch the words that come out of our mouth. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
