For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes - Romans 1:16.
Paul wrote a letter to Romans saying that he was
not ashamed of the gospel. The gospel is the power of God and it has the
ability to produce fruits. Each time it is proclaimed, God’s power is released
and seeds are planted. But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who,
having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with
patience - Luke 8:15.
Paul was in prison when he wrote the letter
to Colossae church for God to open a door for the word. Continue earnestly in
prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; meanwhile praying also for us,
that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ,
for which I am also in chains, that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak
- Colossians 4:2-4.
Paul
also preached the kingdom of God for two years in his own rented house. Then
Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came
to him, preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the
Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him - Acts 28:30,31. He used each and every chance and situation to proclaim the gospel.
We all are in great mission and calling to share the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world. Let us pray for an open door to share the gospel message throughout the world, especially in the countries where gospel cannot be shared freely. Let us also pray for the boldness to proclaim Jesus as the savior. So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it - Isaiah 55:11.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to spread the gospel boldly in all circumstances as much as we can. In Jesus’ name we
pray. Amen.
