The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge - Psalm 46:11.
The
Lord of hosts who is with us is our refuge, strength and fortress. O Lord God
of hosts, Who is mighty like You, O Lord? - Psalm 89:8. Holy, holy, holy is the
Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory! - Isaiah 6:3. He is the king of glory. Who is this
King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory - Psalm 24:10.
David said to Goliath that he came to him
in the name of the Lord of hosts. Then David said to the Philistine, “You come
to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the
name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have
defied” - 1 Samuel 17:45. He killed Goliath without even a sword in his hand. So
David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the
Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David - 1 Samuel
17:50.
The protection of the Lord of
hosts is always with us. Like birds flying about, So will the Lord of hosts
defend Jerusalem. Defending, He will also deliver it; Passing over, He will
preserve it - Isaiah 31:5. How lovely is Your tabernacle, O Lord of hosts! - Psalm
84:1. O Lord of hosts, Blessed is the man who trusts in You! – Psalm 84:12. ‘Thus
says the Lord of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will
return to you,” says the Lord of hosts - Zechariah 1:3.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You and praise You. You are the Lord
of hosts who is always with us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
