His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” - John 2:5.
No wine in the wedding of Cana
Jesus went to a wedding in Cana of Galilee. His mother told Him that there was no wine and He said that His hour has not yet come. On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” - John 2:1-4.
The servants obeyed Jesus with faith
The servants obeyed Jesus and filled the waterpots with water and took it with faith. Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it - John 2:7,8. Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now! - John 2:10.
Water turned into wine
Jesus manifested His glory in the wedding of Cana by turning the water into wine. This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him - John 2:11. If you believe, you will see the glory of God - John 11:40. He has made everything beautiful in its time - Ecclesiastes 3:11.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us wait patiently and obey in faith for You to act in our life in Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
