Pray continually - 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
Jesus shared a parable to His disciples about a persistent widow whose request was granted by an unjust judge. Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up - Luke 18:1. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’” And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly - Luke 18:3-8.
Two blind men kept on crying out to Jesus to have mercy on them. Then the multitude warned them that they should be quiet; but they cried out all the more, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”. So Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.” So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him - Matthew 20:31-34. Jacob wrestled with God for blessings. But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!” - Genesis 22:26.
The church gathered together and prayed constantly when Peter was in prison. Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church - Acts 12:5. God answered their prayer and delivered Peter from Prison. He declared to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison - Acts 12:17. Let us keep praying until God answers all our prayers. Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live - Psalm 116:1,2.
PRAYER: Let us keep praying as You are the Lord who answers our prayers. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
