Peaceful Living

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body;                                                   and be thankful - Colossians 3:15.

We can live peacefully even in tribulations as God had overcome the world. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world - John 16:33. To lead a peaceful life, we need to trust God, love God’s word, pay attention to God's commands, pray and meditate on things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely and praiseworthy.

Trust God

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You - Isaiah 26:3.

Love God’s Word

There will be a great peace in our life as we love the Word of God. Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble - Psalm 119:16.

Pay attention to God's commands

If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river - Isaiah 48:18.

Prayer and thanksgiving

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:6,7.

Meditating on these things

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you - Philippians 4:8,9.

My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places - Isaiah 32:18.

He grants peace to your borders - Psalm 147:14.

I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety - Psalm 4:8.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our peace. Help us to lead a peaceful living. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
