After this I will return and rebuild David's fallen tent. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it - Acts 15:16.
God will rebuild our ruins as we sing songs of joy and draw near to Him. Burst into songs of joy together, you ruins of Jerusalem, for the Lord has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem - Isaiah 52:9. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you - James 4:8. I will restore David’s fallen shelter - I will repair its broken walls and restore its ruins - and will rebuild it as it used to be - Amos 9:11.
The places of ruins in our life will become like the garden of Eden and made stronger to be protected against attacks as God rebuilds and restores our ruins. They will say, "This land that was laid waste has become like the garden of Eden; the cities that were lying in ruins, desolate and destroyed, are now fortified and inhabited" - Ezekiel 36:35. No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah - Isaiah 62:4.
Let us thank God who rebuilt and restored all our ruins. The Lord is rebuilding Jerusalem and bringing the exiles back to Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wound - Psalm 147:2-3. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations - Isaiah 61:4. Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings - Isaiah 58:12.
To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness - Isaiah 61:3.
I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame - Joel 2:25-26.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for rebuilding and restoring all the ruins of our life. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
