Devote Yourselves To Prayer Being Watchful And Thankful

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful - Colossians 4:2.

Devote yourselves to prayer

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God - Philippians 4:6. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you - John 15:7. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints - Ephesians 6:18.

Watchful

Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” - Matthew 26:40,41. Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer - Romans 12:12.

Thankful

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus - 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18. Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ - Ephesians 5:20. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him - Colossians 3:17.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us devote ourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
