Promise Keeper

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us - 2 Corinthians 1:20.

God’s promises never fail

              God’s promises never fail. He is our promise keeper who keeps promises. God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act?  Does he promise and not fulfill?- Numbers 23:19. For no word from God will ever fail - Luke 1:37. Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled - ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭21‬:‭45‬. Not one word has failed of all His good promises - 1 Kings 8:56. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away - Matthew 24:35.

Give glory to God

               Abraham believed that God will keep His promises to him. He grew strong in faith and gave glory to God irrespective of his situations. He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah's womb. No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.  - Romans 4:19-21. 

God is faithful to keep all His promises

               Let us thank God who is faithful to keep all His promises for us. He who promised is faithful - Hebrews 10:23. Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you - Genesis 28:15. With Your mouth You have promised and with Your hand You have fulfilled it - 1 Kings 8:24. I will bring on them all the good that I have promised them - Jeremiah 32:42.                                                                              

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Promise Keeper. We give glory to You and thank You for fulfilling all Your promises for us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
