Do This In Remembrance of Me

Do this in remembrance of me - Luke 22:19.

Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper the night before His crucifixion when he had the Passover meal with His disciples. And when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” - 1 Corinthians 11:24-27.
Because Jesus shed His blood for us, and His body is broken for us, we are free from the power and penalty of sin. The power of communion is to remember God’s faithfulness, ways, love and His commitment to us. Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me - Isaiah 46:9,10. Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies., How priceless is your unfailing love - Psalm 36:5-7,
Let us self-examine ourselves and remember the sacrifice of our Lord through the Lord’s supper.  For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes - 1 Cor 11:26. When we eat and drink, we take Christ in us, the hope of glory. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me - Galatians 2:20.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for Your body that is broken for us and Your blood that is shed for us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Brought Near By His Blood

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ - Ephesians 2:13.

We were once strangers and aliens without Christ. That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world - Ephesians 2:12. But now, we are citizens with the saints and members of the household of God as we are washed in the blood of the lamb. As the Bible says, we are no longer strangers and aliens, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God - Ephesians 2:19.                                                            God’s love is great towards us. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ, and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus - Ephesians 2:4-6. Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God - 1 John 3:1.
We are children of God, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs - heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together - Romans 8:16,17. Let us thank God for bringing us near to Him by His blood. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you - James 4:8.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for bringing us near to You by Your blood. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Seven Places Where Jesus Shed His Blood

They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony -Revelation 12:11.

1.Garden of Gethsemane:
The first place where Jesus shed His blood is the Garden of Gethsemane. In the Garden of Gethsemane, He sweated drops of blood. And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground - Luke 22:44. Jesus won back our will power to resist temptation because He overcame the greatest temptation.
 2.Stripes on Jesus:
By His stripes, we are healed. Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness - by whose stripes you were healed -1 Peter 2:24. Jesus won back our health as He had carried all our sicknesses.
3. Crown of Thorns:
And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head - John 19:2. Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread - Genesis 3:17–19. Jesus won back our prosperity by breaking the curse of lack and poverty.
4. Pierced Hands:
Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments - Mathew 27:35. They nailed His hands and feet to the cross. God placed all dominion and authority in the hands of Adam and Eve. Because of sin, Adam and Eve lost that dominion and authority. Jesus won back dominion and authority in our hands by His blood.
5. Pierced Feet:
Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Jesus. But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs – John 19:32. Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours - Deuteronomy 11:24. Jesus won back dominion and authority over the places we walk.
6. Pierced Heart:
But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out - John 19:34. Jesus won back our joy.
7. Jesus bled internally:
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities - Isaiah 53:5. Jesus won deliverance from our inner hurts. Peace and joy are released to us mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for shedding Your blood for us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Justified By His Blood

Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him - Romans 5:9.

God’s act of justification is a gift for us. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus - Romans 3:23,24. We are justified through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus as a gift by His grace. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness - 1 John 1:9.
There is no condemnation for those who are right with God. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus - Romans 8:1. We have peace with God as we are justified by faith. Being justified by faith, we have peace with God - Romans 5:1. And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith - Philippians 3:9.
It is by the righteousness of God that we are found in Him and not by our own righteousness. Let us greatly rejoice in the Lord for His work on the cross. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels – Isaiah 61:10.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for making us righteous by Your blood. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Sanctified By His Blood

Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate - Hebrews 13:12.

God shed His Blood for us to be sanctified. His blood purifies us from all sins. Jesus said, “This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins” - Matthew 26:28. He is the lamb of God who took away the sin of the whole world. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world - 1 John 2:2.
In 1 John 1:7-9 we are told that, “If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” When we confess all our sins to God, the blood of Jesus provides us complete forgiveness and cleansing.
We were brought near to the Lord by His blood. “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” - Ephesians 2:13. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us - Psalm 103:12. Peter says that we have been saved "through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood" (1 Peter 1:2). As we worship a holy God, let us also be holy in everything we do.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for sanctifying us by Your precious blood. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Redemption By His Blood

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace - Ephesians 1:7.

We are redeemed by the precious blood of Christ. Without the shedding of His blood there can be no remission of sins (Hebrews 9:22). When Jesus shed His blood for our sins, we were set free from the power of sins. We were purchased by His blood. God gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good - Titus 2:14. He gave His life as a ransom for many.
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us - Galatians 3:13. He sets us free from sickness and disease (Psalm 91:10). He sets us free from the pain of the past and the fear of tomorrow (Matthew 6:26-34). If the son sets free, we are free indeed. And whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36). Let us glorify God as we were bought at a price. For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s - 1 Corinthians 6:20.
God’s purpose for us is to be a part of His family and kingdom. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love - Colossians 1:13. Let us praise God for His redemption. Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot - 1 Peter 1:18,19.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are your redeemer. We thank You for redeeming us by Your precious blood. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Protection By His Blood

Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed for us – 1 Corinthians 5:7.

Christ is referred to our Passover lamb. God instructed the Israelites to place blood around the doors of their homes. Because of the stubbornness of Pharaoh, death came upon the first-born son of every household in Egypt. But God provided special protection for all the Israelites. Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt - Exodus 12:13.
Nothing can harm us as God’s protection is with us. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked - Psalm 91:7,8.God puts a wall of fire around us. He protects our going out and coming in. He cares and protects us and our family. During the flood, He protected not only Noah but also his whole family. God told Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household” (Gen. 7:1).
God has anointed us and sealed us. Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee - 2 Corinthians 1:21,22. As long as we remain under the blood of Jesus, we have divine protection. Our life is hidden with Christ in God. Your life is hidden with Christ in God - Colossians 3:3. We are protected by the precious blood of Christ.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We plead Your blood over us and our families. Cover us by Your precious blood. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
