Take Refuge In God

Blessed are all who take refuge in him - Psalm 2:12.

Our God is the place of refuge where we can go and hide amid the storms of life. He promises to be a hiding place, a rock of refuge, a shelter in the storms as we take refuge in Him.

“The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble.  He cares for those who trust in him.”  Nahum 1:7

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2

“Let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.” Psalm 5:11

“How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! Both high and low people find refuge in the shadow of your wings!” Psalm 36:7

“But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.” Psalm 73:28

"Lord my God, I take refuge in you; save and deliver me from all who pursue me."Psalm 7:1

“You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalm 32:7

“Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” Psalm 62:8

“Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge.” Psalm 16:1

A Man Reaps what He Sows

A man reaps what he sows - Galatians 6:7.

Be watchful on what to sow

We need to be watchful on what we sow to us. If we sow love, we will reap love, if we sow joy, we will reap joy and if we sow iniquity, we will reap sorrow. But he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward - Proverbs 11:18. He who sows iniquity will reap sorrow - Proverbs 22:8. Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Need patience to reap the increase

We will reap what we sow and more than what we sow but we need patience.  Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near - James 5:7, 8. He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness - 2 Corinthians 9:10. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up - Galatians 6:7-9.

Reap the increase with songs of joy

Let us be watchful on what we sow to us and be patient to reap the increase with songs of joy. Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously - 2 corinthians 9:6. Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping,  carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them - Psalm 126:5,6.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us to be watchful in what we sow to us as we sow what we reap and let us be patient to reap the increase with songs of joy. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

In The Morning I Lay My Requests Before You And Wait Expectantly

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly - Psalm 5:3.

The first thing David did every morning was to lay his requests before God and wait expectantly  as the Lord hears his voice in the morning. O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land where there is no water - Psalm 63:1. Those that seek me early shall find me - Proverbs 8:17.

God's mercies are new every morning and we are not consumed by His mercies. Let us sing aloud of His mercy every morning. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness - Lamentations 3:22-23. But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning. For You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble - Psalm 59:16.

Let us lift our voice in prayer in the morning to God who hears us, sing of His mercies, lay our requests before Him and wait expectantly. I rise before the dawning of the morning, And cry for help; I hope in Your word - Psalm 119:147. In the morning my spirit longs for you - Isaiah 26:9. O GOD, You are my God; Early will I seek You - Psalm 63:1. Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul - Psalm 143:8.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us lift our voice in prayer in the morning, sing of Your mercies, lay our requests before You and wait expectantly. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Whatever We Ask We Receive From Him

And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight - 1 John 3:22.

Do those things that are pleasing in His sight

Have faith

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he is the rewarder of those who seek him - Hebrews 11:6.

Offer to God sacrifice of praise, do good and to share

So then, let us offer through him to God a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that give thanks to his name. And do not neglect to do good and to share, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God - Hebrews 13:15-16.

Fear Him and have hope in His mercy

The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy - Psalm 147:11.

Be faithful

Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal faithfully are His delight - Proverbs 12:22.

Be fruitful in every good work and increase in the knowledge of God

You may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God - Colossians 1:10.

Observe and obey all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God - Deuteronomy 12:28.

I Will Not Be Afraid

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me all around - Psalm 3:6.

God with us to help us

The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? - Psalm 118:6. The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? - Hebrews 13:6. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand - Isaiah 41:10.

God with us to fight for us

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you - Deuteronomy 3:22.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you - Deuteronomy 31:6. The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid? - Psalm 27:1.

Let us trust God and not be afraid of anyone or anything that bothers us as He is with us to help us and fight for us. In God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? - Psalm 56:4. A thousand may fall at your side,  And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look,  And see the reward of the wicked - Psalm 91:7, 8.

If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We will not be afraid of anyone or anything that bothers us as You are with us to help us and fight for us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

I Am The Vine You Are The Branches

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit - John 15:5.

Abide in God to bear much fruit

Jesus is the true vine and we are the branches. I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser - John 15:1. We cannot bear fruit unless we abide in Him as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in vine. Also, we need to submit ourselves to the Father's pruning work to bear more fruit. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me - John 15:1-4.

Apart from God, we can do nothing

We can bear much fruit as we abide in Him and He abides in us. It’s in him there is life. We cannot produce fruit without life and we cannot do anything apart from him. If a branch is cut off from the vine, the branch dies, withers, and there is no fruit.  I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned - John 15:5-8.

Love and Joy Perfected

We will abide in His love and joy as we keep His commandments. As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you - John 15:9-12. Let the word of Christ abide in our heart. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly - Colossians 3:16.

Ask what you desire, and it shall be done

Let us abide in Him and His Words abide in us so that we bear much fruit and when we ask what we desire, it will be done for us. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples - John 15:8.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are the Vine and we are the branches. Let us abide in You and bear much fruit. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
