Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer - Psalm 19:14.
There
is power in the words we speak. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and
those who love it will eat its fruit - Proverbs 18:21. Let us control the words that we speak by carefully
using them. The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint - Proverbs 17:27.
Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles -Proverbs
21:23.
Heal others
Let our words be
gracious and bring healing to others. Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to
the soul and healing to the bones - Proverbs 16:24.
Encourage others
Let us be careful that our
words do not depress or crush the spirit of others. Instead our words encourage
others. The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes
the spirit - Proverbs 15:4.
Build others
Let our words build others and be helpful to others. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen - Ephesians 4:29.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let our words build
others, encourage others and bring healing to others. In Jesus’ name we pray.
Amen.
