For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness - Psalm 84:10.
It is better to be in the house of God than anywhere
else. I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord”-
Psalm 122:1. It is so blessed to be in the house of God. How lovely is Your
tabernacle, O Lord of hosts! My soul
longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh cry
out for the living God - Psalm 84:1,2.
When Hannah was barren, she went to the house
of God and poured out her soul before the Lord. The Lord remembered her and
blessed her with Samuel. So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah
conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, “Because I have
asked for him from the Lord” - 1 Samuel 1:20. Now My eyes will be open and My
ears attentive to prayer made in this place - 2 Chronicles 7:15.
It is a great privilege for us to praise and worship God in the house of God. Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will still be praising You - Psalm 84:4. Then I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God - Psalm 43:4. Let us always seek and long to be in the house of God which is lovely. One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple - Psalm 27:4.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, It is better for
us to be in Your courts a day than a thousand. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
