I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers - Ephesians 1:16.
In Paul’s first prayer for
the believers at Ephesus (Ephesians 1:15-23), he prayed that they know God
better and to receive deep spiritual blessings. In Paul’s second prayer for the
believers at Ephesus (Ephesians 3:14-21), he prayed that they experience the
power of Christ’s love which surpasses all knowledge and to express this love
toward one another.
For the spirit of wisdom and revelation
to know God better
God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the
Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the
knowledge of Him - Ephesians 1:17.
To receive insight about the hope of
God’s calling, His inheritance and His power
The eyes of your understanding being
enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the
riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding
greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His
mighty power- Ephesians 1:18,19.
To be strengthened in inner man
He would grant you, according to the
riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the
inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith - Ephesians 3:16.
To experience the love of Christ and
to be filled with God’s fullness
That you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God - Ephesians 3: 18, 19.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. Help us to grow more in the knowledge of You and to experience the power of Your love. In Jesus’ name we
pray. Amen.
