But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly - Mathew 6:6.
There is power in prayer.
God hears the prayer of all those who come to Him. O You who hear prayer, To
You all flesh will come - Psalm 65:2. But know that the Lord has set apart for
Himself him who is godly; The Lord will hear when I call to Him - Psalm 4:3. Jesus
spent time in prayer very early in the morning in a secret place. Very early in the
morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to
a solitary place, where he prayed - Mark 1:35.
Hannah went to the house of the Lord and prayed
for God to bless her with a child. And she was in bitterness of soul, and
prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish - 1 Samuel 1:10. Now Hannah spoke in her
heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard - 1 Samuel 1:13. God answered
her secret prayer and blessed her with a son. So it came to pass in the process of time
that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying,
“Because I have asked for him from the Lord” -1 Samuel 1:10. Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you - 1 Peter 5:7.
The rewards of secret prayer are joy and peace. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete - John 16:24. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:6,7. God will answer us and show us great and mighty things which we never know when we pray to Him.
