I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure - Psalm 119:162.
There is no great treasure in the
world as precious as the Word of God. My son, if you receive my words, And
treasure my commands within you, So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And
apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And
lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for
her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And
find the knowledge of God - Proverbs 2:1-5.
The Word of God is a treasure that
teaches us, corrects us and trains us to be equipped for every good work. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for
every good work - 2 Timothy 3:16,17. Heaven and earth will pass away but My words will by no means pass away - Mark 13:31.
Let us treasure God’s Word that brings great peace and joy to us. Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble - Psalm 119:165. Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart - Jeremiah 15:16. Let us keep hiding the treasure of God’s living Word in our heart. Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You - Psalm 119:11.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Let us treasure Your Word more than
anything else in this world. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
