For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you - Matthew 10:20.
The
Holy Spirit teaches us what to say when we speak about Him with others. For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that
very hour what you ought to say - Luke 12:12. When God called Jeremiah and Moses for doing His work, they told that they cannot speak. God told them that He will teach them what to speak. Then said I: “Ah,
Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.” But the Lord said to me: “Do
not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And
whatever I command you, you shall speak” - Jeremiah 1:6, 7.
God
said Moses that He will be with his mouth and teach him what to say. Then Moses
said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You
have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” So
the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the
deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? Now therefore, go, and I will
be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say” - Exodus 4:10 - 12. It is not us who speak but the Holy Spirit. But
whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak,
but the Holy Spirit - Mark 13:11.
Let us boldly speak about the love of Christ with others as the Holy Spirit will teach us what to speak and how to speak. Always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear - 1 Peter 3:15. I have put My words in your mouth and have covered you with the shadow of My hand - Isaiah 51:16. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty - 1 Corinthians 1:27.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We submit ourselves to You. We thank You for
teaching us what to speak by Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
