But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully - 2 Corinthians 9:6.
We
will reap what we sow. For whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he
who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the
Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life - Galatians 6:7,8. When we sow, God will not
only supply seed but multiply and increase our harvest. He who supplied it is
able to multiply it and increase the harvest of your righteousness. He who
supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your
seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness - 2 Corinthians
9:10.
Let us sow the Word
of God bountifully and reap the souls bountifully. But the seed falling on good
soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one
who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown -
Matthew 13:23. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right
time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up - Galatians 6:9.
May God help us to reap the harvest bountifully with praise and joy at right time. Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us - Psalm 67:5,6. Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him - Psalm 126:5,6.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank You for
giving us a bountiful harvest. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
