He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness - by whose stripes you were healed - 1 Peter 2:24.
We all
sinned and fall short of glory. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory
of God - Romans 3:23. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every
one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all -
Isaiah 53:6. God who knew no sin was made to be sin for us. For He made Him who
knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in
Him - 2 Corinthians 5:21. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous
for the unrighteous, to bring you to God – 1 Peter 3:18.
Jesus paid the price for our sins. He went to the cross so that we can be free of sins. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities - Isaiah 53:5. Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many - Isaiah 53:12. The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin - 1 John 1:7. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace - Ephesians 1:7.
Let us thank God for delivering us from the power of darkness. Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the hose forever, but a son abides forever. If the son sets free, we are free indeed. And whom the Son sets free is free indeed" - John 8: 34-36. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness - Romans 6:18. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love - Colossians 1:13.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We
thank You for setting us free from all our sins. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
