Your faith has healed you - Mark 10:52.
Jesus went to Jericho and when blind Bartimaeus
heard about it, he started shouting for Jesus to have mercy on him. Then they
came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were
leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was
sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth,
he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” - Mark 10:46,47.
With faith, Bartimaeus shouted more for Jesus to
have mercy on him even though many rebuked him and told him to be quiet. Many
rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of
David, have mercy on me!” - Mark 10:48. Jesus called and asked him what did he
want from Him. Bartimaeus answered that he wanted to see. Jesus said that his faith
has healed him and he immediately received his sight. “Go,” said Jesus, “your
faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus
along the road - Mark 10:52.
Our faith in God will bring
healings and miracles in our life. And the prayer of faith will save the sick,
and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be
forgiven - James 5:15. He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands
on a few sick people and heal them. He was amazed at their lack of faith - Mark
6:5,6. The faith of Bartimaeus healed him. Like Bartimaeus, let us also seek God more with faith irrespective of all
our circumstances and be healed.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help
us to seek Your face more with faith irrespective of our circumstances. In Jesus’
name we pray. Amen.
