Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people" - Luke 2:10.
The shepherds were first announced about the birth of Christ by the angel of the Lord. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord" - Luke 2:9-11. Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests” - Luke 2:13,14.
The shepherds hurried to see Jesus as soon as they heard about His birth. When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger - Luke 2:15,16. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord - Luke 2:11.
The shepherds returned praising and glorifying God and spread the word about Jesus to others. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them - Luke 2:17,18. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them - Luke 2:20. Let us also go into all the world and spread the gospel to all creation. Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation - Mark 16:15.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, We praise You and glorify you. Let us go into all the world and spread the good news to all. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
